Who Are They Kidding?

The LA Times just ran two stories purporting to show that immigrants (they never differentiate between legal and illegal) both commit fewer crimes than native born Americans and add to the economy. I guess they never read the Harvard study that showed that illegal immigrants cost taxpayers an average of $40,000 over their lifetimes. As for the notion that immigrants (and their progeny) don't commit crimes, there are 40,000 gang members in Los Angeles, the overwhelming majority being Hispanic. Where does the LA Times think they came from--New Zealand?
